For AW26, British photographer and dear friend of albam, John Spinks, travelled from London to Região do Norte, Portugal documenting the journey on 35mm film. From the road, to the landscape and architecture of Northern Portugal, he arrived at the factories that have been making Albam for close to two decades, turning his lens to the people and processes behind the clothes.
The story continues in St Leonards-on-Sea, where furniture designer and woodworker John Alfredo Harris wears AW26 between his workshop and home, taking the clothes from where they're made to everyday wear. Together, the two parts of the story trace a line between the people who make our clothes and the people who wear them.
AW26 is a reflection of true contemporary menswear staples: loose oxford shirts, brushed flannels, knitwear and fleece, alongside our forge jacket and trouser set in washed cotton twill. Familiar shapes, relaxed fits and fabrics chosen for the way they feel and wear.
