Judy Blame: Never Again
London has been home to some of fashion’s most influential figures and unique subcultures, so the ICA is the perfect place to host Judy Blame’s first major solo exhibition. As a stylist and art director who was never afraid to do his own thing, Blame has been a huge influence on designers and creatives over the last 30-plus years.
The exhibition showcases his jewellery, accessories and artwork; pieces largely crafted from everyday objects such as safety pins, badges, bottle tops and buttons. It’s this DIY attitude and non-conformist spirit that ensures his work is still relevant today.
Included in the exhibition is the Artistic Differences section on the first floor, a collection of work from Blame’s contemporaries including Derek Jarman, Juergen Teller and Jake & Dinos Chapman.
Until 4 September 2016
