Biography: Julian Germain (b. 1962) lives and works in Northumberland, UK. His work often focuses on the ordinary and everyday, which he believes proffers the opportunity to say something meaningful about our lives. Since the early 90s he has turned his lens to diverse communities – from former workers of the Consett steelworks in Durham to favela communities in Brazil. He has exhibited internationally including at The Photographers' Gallery, London and MASP, Sao Paulo.
